Park Cleanup!

On Saturday October 11 the Rotary Club of Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Rotary Club, and the Albemarle Rotary Club worked together to maintain their garden and benches at Shelter #2 at McIntire Park. Our three clubs conduct maintenance projects there two or three times per year.

It was a beautiful fall day. We removed weeds, did some pruning, planted a sourwood tree, two fothergilla, a dozen or so hellebores, some more daffodils, and some ferns. We also refreshed the mulch throughout the garden and surveyed the needs for repairs to the benches next spring. Our next workday will be in late April or early May.
